In what could have been a very stressful experience in a highly competitive market, Kelly made the process of first time home buying less intimidating, more manageable, very educational, and even fun. We never felt pressured into making an offer or viewing a place for the sake of him making a sale. In fact, our very first showing he called to let us know he would recommend not looking at the place as it didn't fit what we were looking for. That let us know he had our best interest in mind, not his, and also cared about being courteous to the seller. His patience as an agent helped us be patient as buyers. Kelly is a friendly guy who will spend time talking with you even when you know you're not going to put an offer in on a place and he has other appointments to get to. Kelly was a fantastic realtor for my wife and I. Not only was this our first home, but we were moving across the country back to Wisconsin. Kelly met with us months before we even knew when we'd be able to move back and spent nearly 2 hours during that first meeting just walking us through the process. This was even before we told him that we were going to use him as our realtor. When I got a job offer to move home, I called Kelly and asked him what weekend worked for him to show us homes. Kelly freed up his next weekend and we booked our flights home to look at houses (and buy one) over a three day stretch. We made a list of about 12-15 houses and Kelly lined up showings over two days. When we pulled into the driveway for the first house on the first day, Kelly even greeted us with snacks and drinks! After the first day, we went back to one house for a second look, but after some digging by him and helpful advice, we decided to pass. After the second day, we went back to look at a house that we saw the first day and was 2nd on our list. Kelly even allowed my dad and father-in-law to come look at it with us. After we finished looking at it the second time, we told Kelly that this was the one we wanted to make an offer. On a Friday night, after two full days with us, Kelly went home and wrote the offer for us that night! After some back and forth with the sellers, we were able to get our first home for about $10,000 less than the current asking price and nearly $40,000 less than what it was initially listed for. Kelly provided helpful advice and guidance throughout the negotiating process but stopped short of pushing us one way or another allowing my wife and I to make the final decision. Once we had the accepted offer, Kelly worked even harder, making sure we could close by our agreed upon date in less than 30 days. He called me frequently, texted me almost daily and worked with us to get the house all ready for us while we packed our belongings across the country. Kelly was an amazing realtor for us, and we would recommend him to any one of our family or friends. If you want a realtor who will teach you about the home-buying process, advocate for you along the way, give you rock solid advice, and feel more like a friend than a business connection Kelly is your realtor! He will timely communicate as often as needed via phone call, e-mail, or text so you're not left wondering what is happening. I've talked to several people who have either sold or bought in the past who regret using the Realtor they picked. Do yourself a favor and avoid ending up in that situation and go with Kelly who made our transitions as stress free as possible.
